Marine Floats is constructing an 8'x20' float at our facility in Tacoma, WA. The float will be transported to the
project site via water.
The float surface will be 50% fiberglass grating with 1 '/2" squares with 69% open area and 50% solid decking
with fully encapsulated Polyethylene foam filled tubs located under the decking only.
Float timber frame is Chemonite pressure treated Doulas fir.
Float to be secured in place by (2) helix anchors at the long ends of the float.
Each helix will have a "Y" line that will connect to the respective corners on each end of the float.
Both lines will have a midline float to prevent scour.
Float to be installed by a helix anchor company; not Marine Floats.
