Box 186 Shelton, Washington 98584 Dear Sir: We are the property owners on the West side of Olympic Vista property object to the siting of their proposed float, not to the project itself. Olympic Vista owns 200 feet of good deep frontage. By extending their existing facility westward theywill inhibit access to our boat slip. Our vessel , is a documented 28 foot tug with a 10 foot beam drawing 5 foot 6 inches of water and with a weight of 10 ton gross weight. Current at ebb and flood tides can run very strong with wind and water conditionsbecoming a critical factor. It is not like docking in a protected harbor. I was contacted last fall by Joe Cooper the proposed builder who advised me of the plan. I told him at that time I had objections. He said at that time the reason to build West was to save the cost of driving a single pile. Since extending the dock in an easterly direction is entirely feasable I sincerely hope that this matter can be settled in an amicable manner. Sincerely, Randall E. Updyke P.O. We understand that unless this period is waived there can be no work done on this project until next Spring. That would seen to be undue hardship. We urge you to waive the 30 day waiting period. Sincerely, Joanne Schmitz Randall Updyke
