PERMIT ASSISTANCE CENTER
The purpose of the pre-submission application is to identify andtor eliminate as many potential problems as
possible in order for the project to be processed without delay. Representatives from the Building Department, Fire
Marshal's office, Environmental Health,_Planning,and Public Works departments may attend the meeting to discuss rules
and regulations applicable to the proposed project. Topics covered during the meeting will include the comprehensive plan,
shoreline program, zoning, availability of sewer and potable water, development concepts, building construction, fire
protection and life safety of the proposed project. By providing the most accurate and detailed information on the
application and site plan your pre-submission conference will be more informative-

DESCIPTION OF PROJECT
This application is for the screening of the Existing Deck at Lennard K's Bar& Grill in
Allyn Wa. The deck is 42'x18'. The screened area would be 39'x18' (702 sq. feet). This
deck was completely rebuilt and brought up to code during the remodel of Lennard K's in
1997. The deck is approximately 3 %2 feet off the ground and is post and pillar
construction. I have been in contact with the manufacturer (SunPorch Structures) and
have been assured that these screens meet all snow/wind load codes. I have enclosed
there Washington licensed engineering firms letter that states same.
We are requesting this alteration so during the summer we can screen the bugs and during
the fall/spring make better use of the deck on "inclement days"
