RE: Regulations Concerning Lot 7, Olympic Vista; Parcel 932234-51-00007
Dear Ms. White;
A site visit by Mason County Department of Community Development staff, Shandra O'Haleck,
on August 9th to the above named property revealed slopes in excess of 40% and signs of bowed
trees. This area is also identified on Mason County landslide hazard maps as being in an area of
unstable soils. Due to this a geo-tech report would be required prior to any permit approval.
Please find enclosed Mason County's policy regarding geo-tech reports which clarifies Section
17.01.100 E.3 (Landslide Hazard Areas) of the Resource Ordinance No. 77-93. If you have any
further questions you may contact me at 427-9670, extension 295.
Sincerely,
A hcvn&c,.
