This permit, with conditions, is granted pursuant to the Mason County Resource Ordinance (Chapter 17.01 MCC.) Nothing in this permit shall excuse the applicant from compliance with any other federal, state, or local statutes, ordinances, or regulations applicable to this project. This permit may be rescinded if the permitee fails to complete the project as proposed or fails to comply with the standards of this ordinance. Approved per dimensions of structures and setbacks on submitted site plan; the April 17, 2012 plan has the configuration of retaining walls, walks, two sets of steps, paver sitting area, and native planting areas that are subject to this review. X 2.) The proposed project must be consistent with all applicable policies and other provisions of the Shoreline Management Act, its rules, and the Mason County Shoreline Master Program. X 3.) The applicant acknowledges that the project will be completed as proposed, so that the project will be consistent with all applicable standards of the Mason County Resource Ordinance. 4.) All upland areas disturbed or newly created by construction activities shall be seeded, vegetated or given an equivalent type of erosion protection (silt fencing or straw matting). X 5.) Temporary erosion control measures must be implemented to prevent water quality degradation of adjacent waters or wetlands. Silt fencing must be installed and maintained until upland vegetation has become established. X 6.) All construction and demolition debris must be removed from the shore area after project completion. Proper disposal of construction debris must be on land in such a manner that debris cannot enter or cause water quality degradation of State waters. X 7.) Concrete leachate must be contained during pouring, such that water quality degradation of adjacent waters does not occur. X 8.) Monitoring of the native plant vegetation will be performed annually for three years following installation. Monitoring will entail inspection of each planted species for survival and vigor, and replacement of species that have not survived.
