1) In accordance with the Uniform Building Code, all sites shall have approved numbers or addresses located in such a position as to be plainly visible and
legible from the street or road fronting the property. Mason County Building Department requires that this be completed prior to calling for any site
inspections. A re-inspection fee based on rates as adopted by the jurisdiction and the Uniform Building Code will be assessed if the owner and/or
contrac r fail ost the address on site prior to requesting inspections.

2) Demolitioructitvities must conform with all State and local County regulations as a condition to the issuance of this permit. The applicant/owner is directed
to c tct OI pic Air Pollution Control Authority at(360)438-8768 or 1-800-422-5623 extension 104 prior to the commencing demolition.

3) All building permits shall have a final inspection performed and approved by the Mason County Building Department prior to permit expiration. The failure
to reques inspection or to obtain approval will be documented in the legal property records on file with Mason County as being non-compliant with
Ma so ounty or inances and building regulations.

4) All permits expire 180 days after permit issuance, or 180 days after the last inspection activity is performed. The Building Official may extend the time for
action for a period not exceeding 180 days, upon the receipt of a written extension request indicating that circumstances beyond the control of the permit
holder e p nted action from being taken. No more than one extension may be granted.

5) Contractor registration laws are governed under RCW 18.27 and enforced by the WA State Dept of Labor and Industries, Contractor Compliance Division.

LETTER OF INTRODUCTION
Purpose: Replacement residence
Owners: Tel and Nan Paris
Location: E 8241 Hwy 106, Union, WA, 98592
The owners desire to construct a residence replacing a house which was
originally the office for a logging company In the Tahuya area which was
floated across the Canal on logs (still under the house) over 70 years ago. It
now suffers from flood damage, settling, rot and insect damage and is a
maintenance and safety nightmare.
The replacement house has a smaller footprint, same number of bedrooms,
kitchen, living, etc rooms. It is situated farther from the Canal shore and will
have less lawn and landscaping and will be more environmentally friendly
and energy efficient.
The approved septic system is in excellent condition. The water supply is
more than adequate, and has been present since the mid "20s. The Mason
County PUD #1 supplies electricity.
Our goal is to commence the removal and replacement process at the
earliest possible time, and any assistance would be sincerely appreciated.
