Dear Applicant:
You have submitted a permit application (case no. BLD2003-01120) for proposed
construction or development in the county. Upon review of your application, I have
determined that the contents of the application are incomplete or do not provide
enough detail for review.
Therefore, review of your application will not proceed until the necessary information
is provided (see the comment section of this letter for details.) Once the information
is submitted and the application is complete, I will continue to process your
application accordingly. If the additional information is not provided to the County
within 180 days of this request, the application shall expire and no further action on
the proposed development shall take place.

NOTIFICATION OF INCOMPLETE APPLICATION

Comments: Your geological assessment and wetland delineation reports have
been received by the County and reviewed.
The geological assessment was reviewed by Public Works and
appears acceptable per Inter-Departmental Communications from Alan
Tahja.
The Wetland Delineation Report identifies the wetland system to be a
Category 11. The buffer from a Category I I wetland is 85 feet plus a
15-foot building setback. The site plan indicates that the structure is
partially within the buffer and completely within the building setback.
You have two options. You can relocate the structure so it is outside of
the wetland buffer/setback or you can apply to leave the structure
where it is.
Should you decide to keep the cabin where it is you will need to apply
for a Mason Environmental Permit (MEP). A MEP application is
enclosed for your convenience. The MEP fee of$305 will be tripled
due to after-the-fact status. Per the enclosed Mason County Resource
Ordinance 17.01.210 Restoration Chapter, you will be required to add
a restoration plan component to your wetland report, post a restoration
bond, and provide seasonal monitoring of the site for a period of three
years.
Should you decide to relocate the cabin out of the wetland buffer, you
will be required to provide a restoration plan component to your
wetland report, post a restoration bond, and provide seasonal
monitoring for a period of three years.
You have 30 days to provide the above-mentioned information.
