Hello Ms. Reamer,
On June 27, 1997 Mason County Department of General Services recorded a "Certificate of Existing Non-Conforming Structure"
to the parcel. The document was recorded so that all future owners and interested parties are aware that the 1965 REX 55-ft x
10-ft mobile home was placed on the parcel without a permit or occupancy approval.
Records show that after the mobile home was moved onto the property without a permit. A permit application was submitted but
not issued, permit number BLD96-00655. Another permit application was received for conditional installation so that the owner
could perform repairs necessary to bring the mobile home up to HUD standards and approval from Washington State Labor&
Industries. No inspections were performed and we do not have record that compliance to conditions was completed. Two
conditions related to work and occupancy were added to the permit, they are pasted below.
HOW TO RESOLVE:
An addendum to the Certificate will be prepared when the owner complies with requirements and resolves the violation. Our
records show that the violation has not been resolved. Since the permit has expired, the owner would need to remove the 1965
mobile home and request a compliance inspection. When the inspector verifies that the mobile home has been removed, and
upon request, our office will prepare an addendum to the Certificate of Existing Non-Conforming Structure and deliver the
addendum to the owner to be recorded by the owner, at the owners expense. If you have additional questions let me know.
CONDITIONS ADDED TO MASON COUNTY BUILDING PERMIT MIS97-00725:
CONDITIONAL INSTALLATION PERMIT:
This permit is being issued to the applicant to allow the moving of this mobile home onto his/her private property to perform the
necessary corrections to this unit to bring it into compliance with HUD Standards, and get the unit recertified by the State of
Washington Department of Labor and Industries.This unit is not to be occupied. No utilities are to be connected to the unit. No
permanent set up is to begin. This permit is valid for sixty(60) days only. No extensions will be granted. Any violation of the
conditions of this permit or the denial of a permanent installation permit will result in the determination that the unit must be
removed from the property at the expense of the owner.
CUSTOM CONDITION:
NO OCCUPANCY OR PERMANENT SET UP OF THIS UNIT IS TO COMMENCE WITH THIS PERMIT. THIS PERMIT IS TO
MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS TO RECEIVE L & I APPROVAL. ONCE L & I HAS APPROVED THE UNIT, THE
APPLICANT MUST PROVIDE MASON COUNTY WITH A COPY OF THE APPROVAL AND OBTAIN THE BUILDING PERMIT
PRIOR TO OCCUPANCY OR PERMANENT SETUP.
