Schaaf WIG`*Sec/Tres.Wondervue Association L N I PO Box 356 Union, Washington 98592 RE: Bulkhead/Retaining Wall Evaluation—Wondervue Condominiums, 5321 E State Route 106, (Parcel 32232-56-00900)Union,Washington Dear Mr. Schaaf, Envirotech Engineering (Envirotech) has completed this retaining wall analysis of an existing modular block wall, and its influence with respect to an underlying concrete bulkhead. The block wall reportedly replaced a rock wall about 3 years ago. For design considerations, the block wall is 3 feet high by 18 feet in length above a portion of the bulkhead that is 4 feet to 6 feet above grade. The existing reinforced concrete bulkhead has been recently addressed by Envirotech for repairs. The following analysis is provided: Existing Concrete Bulkhead with Block Wall Surcharge Soil Parameters y = 120 psf T = 35 ° ca = 0 psf Pore Pressure: No Earth Pressure: Active 0 ° yw= 62.4 psf Load Inputs q 0 psf DL 0 Ib/ft LL 0 Ib/ft w 0 lb Soil Conclusions K 0.27 Wall Geometry (assumed) Ke 0.24 B = 60 in 6 23.33 h = 12 in 4P 0.00 Po gox994 getfnr, washwgtovu92.s28 Ot f: 360-2 j Cell: 3G0-68°1-6046 aK: 360-2489 ewv%rotech@g eotech uLi.ca law fD.cDtM r i b= 12 in Rsl 1625.94 H = 10 ft RsH1 1492.96 t= 10 in RsV1 644.00 D= 2 in Rw 0.00 n = 12 in Rq 0.00 Key: No RqH 0.00 RqV 0.00 Re 1099.99 Rs2 0.45 RsH2 O.41 RsV2 0.66 Sliding Fr= (ZWi + RsV1 + RgV)tan6 + cA+ RsH2 + RsV2 2520 Ib/ft Fs = RsH1 + RqH + Re + Rw 1493 lb/ft F.S.static= Fr/Fs 1.7 o.k.
