These roads were reinstated on the 24th of October 1972 with Provisions. I have highlighted one of the Provisions which provides that the road's and alley's be deeded over to the county and brought up to minimum County Standards. In the case of Alderney Street, this did not happen. At this time we are not able to determine whether this portion of Alderney Street is or is not vacated. My suggestion is that we not oppose the variance, provided that Mr. Hicks proceeds to have the street officially vacated, which will eliminate the controversy.
