Part 6—Project Description

The house sits on the waterward face of the concrete bulkhead,as well as on the western bulkhead wing wall.The house and attached
decks will be raised up 3 feet. The bulkhead and wing wall the house sits on will be raised using CMU concrete blocks. The other two
sides of the house sit on a standard concrete foundation landward of the bulkhead,and will be raised also.A new set of wood stairs will
be built from the newly raised deck down to the existing landing at the top of the dock gangway.
There is also a vertical crack at the NW corner of the existing bulkhead that will be stabilized with a new concrete deadhead poured
behind(landward)of the bulkhead.

High tides have come over the top of the bulkhead and flooded the house. This work will raise the
house out of the floodplain.

The house will be raised up off the the existing bulkhead and foundation and temporarily supported on
cribbing. A new concrete deadhead will be poured behind the crack in the bulkhead at the NW corner.
The bulkhead and house foundation will be raised using mortared in place CMU blocks. The existing
floor structure of the house will be strengthened and repaired. The house will then be set back down
upon the new foundation.
This work is adjacent to Hood Canal and within the floodplain
