development in the county. Upon review of your application, I have determined that the contents of
the application are incomplete or do not provide enough detail for review.
Therefore, review of your application will not proceed until the necessary information is provided (see
the comment section of this letter for details.) Once the information is submitted and the application is
complete, I will continue to process your application accordingly.

NOTIFICATION OF INCOMPLETE APPLICATION

Comments: There are many issues that need to be addressed in order to continue
processing your building permit for an RV storage building. It does not
appear that the structure meets the minimum shoreline setback
requirements of the Mason County Shoreline Master Program or
Resource Ordinance Chapter 17.01.110 (enclosed), or front-yard
setback requirements of Mason County Development Regulations.
With the information you have submitted so far, it appears this project
would require an after-the-fact Shoreline Variance, after-the-fact
Resource Ordinance Variance and after-the-fact Development
Regulations Variance. The project would also require a Mason
Environmental Permit and Habitat Management Plan per R.O. Chapter
17.01 .110. All after-the-fact variances and permits would be subject to
triple fees. In order to determine the exact shoreline and other
setbacks required for this project you will need to apply for a
pre-inspection (see enclosed form) to cover the additional site work
and research. If this is a replacement structure, please provide dated
photos of the previous structure.
Your other option would be to remove the structure. Please contact
me by February 24th, 2003 with your decision about how to proceed.
Further review of this project will be on hold until a pre-inspection or
demolition permit is applied for regarding this project.
