Mason County Resource Ordinance: Lands are designated as Category II Critical Aquifer Recharge Area(CARA)per the CARA chapter 17.01.080. As such the project requires a Mason Environmental Permit. Shelton will also need to execute Critical Area Title Notification(contact area planner for questions about the process). Other Critical Areas: if pipeline route review indicates that there are other critical areas or buffers in the path,those applicable chapters of the Resource Ordinance will apply. SEPA:The pipeline requires review under SEPA;the County will be lead for the pipeline SEPA,as the most local permitting agency.The City of Shelton,who is in the process of annexing the site proposed for the actual water reclamation plant,will be SEPA lead for the plant,assuming that by that time they will be the agency with jurisdiction over that land. Any structure required to sevice the distribution services shall require a separate building permit and approval for each separate structure. All land modification activities shall comply with Mason County Code,Title 14,Section 14.44,Excavation&Grading.
