Co. (an RISC Class MB Certified Fabricator) components of the subject building, when ordered in accordance with Butler standards , will be designed in accordance with the 1989 Edition of the AISC Specification for the Design, Fabrication and Erection of Structural Steel and the 1986 Edition of the AISI Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members. The basic loads of the subject building meet or exceed the County Climatic Data as published in the 1986 Edition of the MBMA Low Rise Building Systems Manual . Loads applied to the subject building are in accordance with the 1988 Edition of the Uniform Building Code. The subject building is designed to carry a basic roof snow load of 25 pounds per square foot and a collateral load of 3.0 pounds per square foot in addition to the dead load of the structure. The building is designed for a basic wind speed of 80 M.P.H. , exposure factor "C" applied in accordance with Section 2311 of the Uniform Building Code. The Building is designed for Seismic Zone 3 in accordance with Section 2312 of the Uniform Building Code and importance factor 1 .0. Load combinations are in accordance with Section 2303 (f) of the Uniform Building Code. The fire flow required for 30 , 000 square foot Type II-N building is 3 , 750 GPM (1988 UFC, Table III-A-A) . This fire flow requirement can be reduced up to 75% if the building is provided with an automatic sprinkler system. The minimum fire flow shall be 1, 500 GPM. Water shall be available to the site prior to the start of construction. Evaluation of available water shall be determined by a qualified engineer. 2 . Lighted exit signs are required as noted on the plans . 3 . Portable fire extinquishers are required as noted on plans . Rating: 2A10BC. 4 . Gas meters shall be protected by bollards . 5 . An approved turnaround is required where dead-end access is 150 feet long or greater. 6 . A minimum 20 foot wide access road with an approved all weather driving surface shall be in place and serviceable prior to construction. Grade shall not exceed 10% . 7 . The access road shall extend to within 150 feet of all portions of the exterior walls of any building. 8 . All turning radii shall meet Mason County standards - 40 feet . 9 . The 1 1/2 hour overhead rolling door shall be operated by a 165 degree fusible link. The door operation shall be tested by the Fire Marshal prior to occupancy. 10 . Fire hydrant location shall be determined by the Fire Marshall and the local fire protection district . 11 . Provide the Mason County Fire Marshal with appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets for any chemicals used, handled or stored in this facility.
