Since October 1993 , this Interim Resource Ordinance has provided standards for development within the county in areas containing steep slopes, aquifer recharge areas, streams, lakes, and wetlands . One standard for all development in a designated aquifer recharge area is that the property owner must complete a form, Title Notification of Aquifer Recharge Area, and record the notarized statement with the Mason County Auditor' s Office. A copy of that recorded statement is sent to the Department of Community Development and is included with the development permit file. It is important that this form be completed as a part of the building permit review. The parcel number and legal description of your property is on your Assessor' s Office tax statement. If you have questions, please contact Allan Borden of the Department of Community Development at 427-9670 ext . 365 . Sincerely, "J Allan Borden Senior Planner I Recycled
