Erosion control provided during and after construction by Public Works staff. The project is approximately 60 feet landward from the shoreline of Case Inlet. 2) Will the project require any work over, in, or adjacent to (within 200 feet) of the described waters? If yes,please describe and attach available plans. An infiltration gallery will allow stormwater to perk through the ground surface. C. Water Runoff(including storm water) An infiltration gallery will allow stormwater to perk through the ground surface. 1) Describe the source of runoff (including storm water) and method of collection and disposal, if any (include quantities, if known). Where will this water flow? Will this water flow into other waters? If so, describe. 5 TO BE COMPLETED BY APPLICANT AGENCY USE ONLY Rain/storm water is, in general, the only source of runoff. This project is designed to capture the runoff and divert it through an approved Department of Ecology stormwater filtering device (filterra). The filterra is equipped with an overflow pipe that will then direct water back into the existing catch-basin. From the catch-basin the water will gravityfeed to a newly constructed infiltration gallery that will allow the stormwater to perk back into the ground preventing any polluted water from entering surface water of the state. 2) Could waste materials enter ground or surface waters? f so, generally describe. This project is designed to prevent waste materials and waters from entering surface waters and allows them to be diverted into the ground for filtering. d. Proposed Measures to Reduce or Control Surface,Ground and Runoff Water Impacts, If any: Filter fabric fence and/or straw bales shall be installed as needed to prevent transport of sediment into the waterway due to rain/storm events. A spill kit will be on site to control fuel/fluid spills. Ultimately the project is being designed to control and reduce the amount of stormwater from directly discharging into waters of the state. 4. PLANTS: a. The disturbed area covering the infiltration gallery will be seeded with native grasses. 5. ANIMALS: a. Proposed measures to preserve or enhance wildlife, if any: This project will help reduce the pollution load currently entering the North Bay area of Case Inlet. 6. ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES: a. What kinds of energy (electric, natural gas, oil, wood stove, solar)will be used to meet the completed project's energy needs? Describe Whether it will be used for heating, manufacturing, etc. None required. b. The stormwater system being installed is gravity fed and does not require pumping offluids. 7. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH: a. Are there any environmental health hazards, including exposure to toxic chemicals, risk of fire and explosion, spill, or hazardous waste, that could occur as a result of this proposal? If so, describe. Only those associated with refueling and servicing the construction equipment. 1) describe special emergency services that might be required. Emergency medical or traffic control in case ofan accident. 2)Proposed measures to reduce or control environmental health hazards, if any: Normal construction safety standards and MUTCD Traffic Control Standards are expected to be enforced. Current site is a county road and right-of-way. The adjacent property owner has converted the dead end road to a parking lot for patrons to local businesses. Describe any structures on the site. Existing structures include roadway, catch basins and stormceptor structure. d. Will any structures be demolished? If so what?
