Whenever a building or structure, used or intended to be used for dwelling purposes, because of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, decay, damage, faulty construction or arrangement, inadequate light, air or sanitation facilities, or otherwise, is determined by the health officer to be unsanitary, unfit for human habitation or in such a condition that is likely to cause sickness or disease. (Uniform code for the abatement of dangerous buildings) 2. Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install,enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any required impact-resistant coverings, electrical,gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit. Have L&I Perform life and safety inspection on manufactured home. a. Bring report to Community Services for review b. Apply for permits from L&I to correct any issues found by date negotiated with Community Service 2. Obtain building permit from Mason County for gas alteration to home. MONETARY PENALTY A monetary penalty will be assessed against you for each and every day, or portion thereof during which subsequent violations of Mason County Code Uniform Code for the abatement of dangerous buildings continue beyond May 31, 2018. The amount of the penalty per day, or portion thereof for each day the violation continues beyond May 31, 2018 accrues at the following rate: *** First violation: $250 per day or portion thereof Penalties cease to accrue only when the violation is corrected and the issuing compliance officer has certified compliance. Inspections must be completed to verify compliance and cease accrual of monetary penalties.
