Below you will find comments made regarding the proposed development and its critical values. This information is based on County and State regulations as they exist to date. The site is level and appears well drained. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DESIGNATION: Mason County Comprehensive Plan designation for this site is "Urban Growth Area." CRITICAL AREA REVIEW The site lies within an area designated under Critical Aquifer Recharge Areas Chapter 17.01.080 of the Mason County Resource Ordinance, as a Class II Critical Aquifer Recharge Area. Critical aquifer recharge areas are those areas which are determined to have an important recharging effect on aquifers used as a source for potable water and are vulnerable to contamination from recharge. Critical Aquifer Recharge Areas are areas of special concern and are subject to the Mason County Health Codes. A copy of the CARA chapter of the Resource Ordinance is enclosed for review. This checklist is an important opportunity for identifying aa—dy in the permit process whether there will be any environmental regulations affecting the proposed development. If the information is incomplete, then Mason County must disclaim any errors resulting from deficiencies in the original application. Pre inspection reports remain valid only until development changes occur in the vicinity which affects the lot evaluated in this inspection.
