Dear Mr.Miklethun ,
In response to a complaint the Planning Department conducted
a site inspection on your property off of Shelton Springs Road . The .
specific tract I believe is Tract 1-A of SW NE, Sec . 12, Twn 20 N. ,
R 4 West. A STOP WORK Order was posted on the site on March
22 , 1989. The reason for the order was that the landfill is in
violation of the Mason County Shoreline Master Program. The
Landfill Chapter 7. 16. 130 states the following : "Landfills are
prohibited waterward of the ordinary high water mark or on
biological wetlands. " The property posted is a biological wetland
and all filling on the property must stop immediately or will be
subject to the penalties stated in the Master Program (copy is
enclosed ) .
It has been brought to my attention that you may no longer own
the property. If this is the case, please let us know who the
purchaser is. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Thank
you.

Dear Mr. Miklethun ,
Since I spoke with you in this office on April 4, our
Department has received several complaints in regard to the fill
that is continuing to take place on your property off of Shelton
Springs Road . Someone or more than one individual is still placing
fill in the biological wetlands on Tract 1 -A of SW N77, 12-20-4.
This action is a deliberate violation of the STOP WORK ORDER posted
and the Mason County Shoreline Master Program. Landfill in
biological wetlands is prohibited . We ask that you take immediate
action to stop the further placement if landfill on the site. I
understand that you are not the person doing the filling but you
are the landowner and responsible for the violation . We appreciate
your cooperation in this matter. Thank you.

Dear Mr . Miklethun ,
Our office has received additional complaints in regard to the
fill being placed in the wetlands on your property off of Shelton
Springs Road . Three STOP WORE; ORDERS have been placed at the site,
the first in March and the other two in May. The fill is a
deliberate violation of the Mason County Shoreline Master Program.
Landfill in biological wetlands is prohibited . Because you are the
land owner it is your responsibility to maF::e sure the filling is
stopped . Unless action is taken by you to stop the person (s) from
entering your property we will issue a Citation to you as the
responsible owner . A barricade of some sort may be the solution
to trucks entering the lot. If any further fill is placed in the
wetlands from the date of this letter a Citation will be issued .
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter . Thank you.
