Mr. Mercado:
At your request, Geotechnical Investigations Group conducted a site visit on July 17, 2013 to inspect the
decks on the residence located at 131 East Tepee Lane in Belfair, Washington.
Findings
The residence is manufactured home oriented with the front
facing the west. A wooden deck is on the front of the house,
which measures approximately 26-feet by 6-feet. See
Figure 1 for deck layout.
The decking is supported by a stick frame system that rests
upon posts. The posts are placed upon pre-cast concrete
pyramids. The pre-cast concrete pyramids provide support ,
and also offer some protection against rotting.
The post system consists of 19 posts. Figure 1, the attached drawing indicates the dimensions and
layout of the deck. The row nearest the residence has eight posts, the spacing is approximately 3'-6"
(three feet six inches) between posts. The pre-cast concrete pyramids in the row nearest the residence
are in good condition.

from the first row, and it
also contains 8 posts.
