RE: 2018 Bowman Properties LLC(Parcel N32029-50-03001)Evaluation of Failure
Deer Inspector:
Attached is a repair septic design for a property located at 1711 SE Ridge Rd,Shelton,WA 98584. There
are existing buildings onsite, the first being a fruit stand/warehouse space with living space attached built in
1930 and the second being a small, detached structure built in 1960 that also has living space. We are
designating the larger space as 3-bedrooms and the smaller space
a I_be
u known sizdroorn for e o dl of 4- ledrOOms-
Each building has its own septic tank that tie into gravity es
on. There
are no original septic records. There are no public restmoms and the septic is used for residential purposes
by the family that leases the property.
The owner has been having some issues with the septic and the drainfields are not taking water properly. The
existing tanks maybe reused if the installer determines that they are in acceptable condition. The tanks must
be water-tight and have risers and lids to the surface for ongoing maintenance. The small building has an
existing 2-compartment 900-gallon septic tank. An on-demand solids pump is to be added into the second
cam and pump over to ber
septic tank tthat can be reused he inlet of the Land an effluent filter added. The old drainfie dn septic tank. The larger building has Sm ts are to be ng allon
comp
abandoned in place.
We are proposing the addition of a new 1,200-gallon shared pump chamber. The proposed new drainfield
consists of 600 s.f of sand-lined pressure bed using an application rate of 0.8.The system will also have a
control panel including timed dosing,a counter and elapse meter to prevent overuse and facilitate ongoing
operation and maintenance. The property is on public water and there are no known wells nearby. We have
designated a 600 s.f.reserve drainfield area. In compliance with the Table IX repair guidelines, this system
meets Treatment Level B,has 24"+vertical separation with pressure distribution and timed dosing. A
waiver is included to install in unoriginal disturbed soils. A Notice of Operation 6c MaintenanL been
filed on the deed. MAY 0 2 2024
