Notification of Non-Compliance
(Monitoring Plan / Restoration)
June 18, 2008
JAMES & CIN PETRAITIS
71 PAISLEY WAY
SHELTON WA 98584
Enforcement Case No.: ENF2006-00130
Dear JAMES & CIN PETRAITIS
This letter is a notification of non-compliance with the monitoring / restoration plan associated with
the above enforcement case. As outlined in Chapter 17.01.210 (Restoration) of the Mason County
Resource Ordinance # 77-93; "Where restoration has been required, the applicant, at its own cost,
shall provide for seasonal monitoring of the site by a qualified biologist or other qualified
professional, for a period of three years after completion". After completion meaning that the
monitoring period would start from the date of initial planting or initiation of the restoration plan,
which is usually followed by an initial inspection from the Code Enforcement Planner.
During the three-year monitoring period the applicant is responsible for meeting the goals of the
restoration plan and submitting three annual monitoring reports to the Planning Department/
Mason County. Upon receipt of the final monitoring report the Enforcement Planner will evaluate it
for compliance with the restoration goals. A final site inspection usually follows the review of the
final monitoring report.
Further enforcement action may be taken if the final monitoring report is not submitted to the
Planning Department/ Mason County.
Call me if you have any questions or if you wish to discuss your case.
Regards
