It has come to my attention that the above permit was renewed from expiration on November 4,
1994. Mason County's policy states that a inspection is to be completed every (6) six months
to remain active. Mason County records show the last inspection on January 4, 1995. Since
this permit expired July 4, 1995 the following will be required to reinstate such permit.
1). Results from a site inspection in the summer of 1995, Larry Waters and Warren Colvin,
Building Inspector and Toni Hermansen, Energy Code Officer noticed that changes from
the original permit number (27619) issued on March 3, 1991 had been made by the
original owner. Due to the changes several beams, and floor joist loads have been
increased. Warren noted that 6 out of 7 beams needed to be increased in size and some
floor joists. At this point Mason County will require this to be upgraded. A Washington
State Licensed Structural Engineer will be required to compute all loads and structural
analysis for compliance with the Uniform Building Code.
2). A new building permit application completed with all additional information such as
name, address, plumbing, mechanical and any additional structural changes made from
the previous permits numbers #27619 and BLD94-1654.
3). Enclosed is a letter dated November 30, 1994 of changes that were addressed from the
site inspection on January 4, 1995. Hopefully this will help your questions regarding the
upgrading and reissuing of permit BLD94-16754.
4). Per Toni Hermansen, Energy Code Officer you may have possible incentive money
refunded to you for having a installed heat pump. In order to research this more you will
need to contact Ron Tewalt with PUD #3 at (360) 426-8255.
5). Recently Larry Watters, Building Inspector performed a site-inspections with you. At that
time he also noted a separate stairway and landing will be required on the 3rd and 4th
stairway.

After Mason County has received a new application filled out with the additional information and
(2) two new sets of detailed structural drawings approved by a Washington State Licensed
Structural Engineer. A fee of$523.35 calculated from 112 the original permit fee and then any
additional plan review fees including mechanical and plumbing that was not previously
calculated from BLD94-1654 and approval from the Mason County this permit can be reissued.
