Re: Geotechnical Report for Attached Application for a detached garage
The enclosed application for a building permit for a detached garage located at 4147 E.
Grapeview Loop Road, Grapeview, WA 98546, tax parcel #12108 22 90093 should be
satisfied for geotechnical requirements with the attached existing report already done for
the project.
I offer the following information:
The report was reviewed and approved on June 6, 2007 by Mason County for this project.
This should be recent enough to satisfy the need for current geotechnical information for
this detached garage.
The garage that we propose to build is in the same exact location proposed before.
Indeed our 2406 footprint is smaller than the proposed 26x40 proposed and approved
but never built garage.
The yellow highlighted area on the Inter-Departmental Communications document
approving the project dated June 6, 2007 fits the type of structure that we build. Our
structural posts are required to be based on native soil. We would therefore excavate
down to hard soil at all structural post locations to meet our engineering. I have enclosed
a copy of Mason County conditions for a building permit that I am picking up today to
verify that fact.
