Common path of travel to exit path not to exceed 75',common exit path not to exceed 250'total IFC 1016. • Exit Access: IFC 1014,"Egress shall not pass through adjoining or intervening rooms or areas..." • Exit signs shall be provided and internally illuminated IFC 1011 • Provide for emergency lighting. • Provide Fire Extinguishers per IFC 906 • Knox box required for Fire Department Access. Contact Fire District 11 for ordering information. • Approved plans must be onsite at all times. • If propane tanks are installed follow NFPA 58 setback requirements. (Attached) • Duct detectors are required for units with a design capacity greater than 2000cfin. • All wiring must meet NFPA 70 and be inspected by WA State L&I • Wall must meet IFC Chapter 8"Interior Finish" • Fire Access per Mason County Title 14(Attached) • Provide MSDS sheets for all chemicals being used/sold and/or stored. Complete a HM1S survey. • Hydrants capable of producing required fire flow are required to be within 400' of the furthest comer of the building. If this is not possible mitigation is required per Mason County Fire Flow Worksheet. (Attached). In this case if the hydrant is further than 400' from the furthest part of the building as a vehicle would drive a NFPA 72 addressable fire alarm system will be required. Separate permit. • Bollards shall be installed to protect any fire protection equipment,propane tanks, fuel storage and/or other hazardous equipment as determined by the Fire Marshal. • Identify High Pile storage locations and ensure compliance with IFC for heights and rack sprinklers if needed. Engineering will need to be submitted for some rack systems. Plan approval does not relieve the designer/contractor from complying with all applicable codes and requirements as adopted by Mason County and the State of Washington, not does it abrogate the requirements of the requirements of other authorities having jurisdiction.
