The area is zoned as within the Shelton Urban Growth Area(UGA). Both residential and commercial uses of property are permitted. 1.6 Future Service Area The proposed future service area is the same as the existing service area. Northwest Water Systems,Inc. - 3 - New Pine Acres Water System Consulting-Management-Engineering Water System Plan a 2.0 BASIC PLANNING DATA 2.1 Current Population and Water Use The current population of the New Pine Acre Water System based upon 2.5 persons per residential unit is: approximately 15 residents 9 residential connections and approximately 240 users at approximately 3 transient(commercial) connections. For the purposes of this analysis, it is assumed that the commercial connections are equal to one ERU. This assumption is confirmed by service meter readings. 2.2 Projected Population and Water Use Future population and water use is anticipated to follow current trends. There are 16 lots in the New Pine Acres Servicfe Area. Of these,it is likely that several will continue to be served by private wells. H wever,it is also likely that several of the existing lots will be subdivided. The system hos adequate capacity to serve 28 ERU's- Water Demand Forecasting Average Daily Demand (ADD)for the system is calculated as 140 gpd based upon historic usage records. Maximum Daily Demand(MDD)is calculated as 280 gpd. An ADD multiplier of 2.0 was used since analysis of the meter data does not indicate a high level of peaking. Anticipated Growth: Over the past several years the system has experienced little growth. Five additional connections will be added soon after the approval of this plan. It is assumed that the system will continue adding connections at an average rate of 1 connection every three years thereafter.
