It looks like the BLA application was not approved for two reasons, but I did not find any evidence in the file that you had been notified of this. Normally an application for a case that has sat for this long would be considered to have expired, however because I can find no record of correspondence, I will, keep the case open for another 180-days from today's date in order to give you an opportunity to resolve the problems with this application. The reason that your BLA was not approved is that the design increased existing non- conformity with the Health Code with one of the parcels dropping it from 14,790 sq. ft to 13, 980 sq. ft. The Health Department denied the BLA on July 7, 2008 because of that reduction in lot size. Apparently, at your location, a conforming parcel size for Health regulations with on site septic and community water is 18,000 sq. ft. Notes in the file indicate that your surveyor, Bob Emerson, was going to reconfigure the lots so that there was no change to the actual square footage, but as your probably know, Bob Emerson has since left town with no forwarding address. To salvage this BLA, you need a new map, declaration and application. However a surveyor's help is not required. I recommend that you contact a local title company to help you modify this BLA into something that Mason County can approve. If you can get this new material submitted to the County within 180 days of today's date, we can apply the County's submittal/review fees and carry on under the same application number (BLA 2008-00021). If your revisions come in after that date, a new case (With new fees) will be required. I can be reached at ext. 571 or by e-mail at mmsng,co.mason.wa.us if you have any questions. Sincerely, i Michael MacSems Subdivision Reviewer Cc: Amanda Reynolds (MCPH)
