RE: Empire Home Construction Property(Parcel#22017-50-00047) Septic Reserve
Dear Inspector:
Attached is a plot plan for the Empire Home Construction property located at 510 E Lakeshore Dr E,
Shelton, WA 98584. The new owner is planning to install a new 27' x 48' (1,296 s.f.)2-bedroom
manufactured home. See attached plot plan for details.
The site has an existing 2-bedroom septic system installed on 5-26-06. According to records,the existing
system consists of a 1,200 gallon 2-compartment concrete septic tank followed by a 1,200 gallon pump
chamber to a 9'x 27' sand filter and then 136 lineal feet of shallow pressure drainfield trenches(408 s.f.).
The septic was inspected by Kitsap Septic Pumping in September-2023 and showed the system working
order but some small items need attention. "Tank alert may need to be replace in the near future,appears
to be melted by sun or fire. Electrical still functioning as it should. One clean out too melted to open." It
is recommended that these minor repairs get completed before final building occupancy.
We have set aside 405 s.f.of OSCAR mound drainfield reserve area, enough for a 2-bedroom septic in
Type 4 soil should it be needed in the future. This reserve area has no setback issues as it is 100+from
any wells or surface water. No soil is to be disturbed in this area and it should not be used for vehicle
traffic or parking.
