Intent to Grant Franchise - CablevisionRESOLUTION NO. 60-88 RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO GRANT FRANCHISE AND NOTICE OF HEARING WHEREAS, Mason County Board of Commissioners intends to grant a franchise for the purpose of providing cable television service to specific areas of Mason County; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners have received an application to provide cable television service by CableVision, P. 0. Box 88, Port Orchard, WA 98366; and WHEREAS, CableVision has proposed to provide cable television service to the following areas of Mason County served by County roads beginning at a point 660' north of the Grapeview Store and terminating at a point 300' more or less south of the Nelson Road and including Treasure Island: Township 22 North, Range 1 West Sections 32 Township 21 North, Range 1 West Sections 5 Township 21 North, Range 1 West Sections 4 WHEREAS, the franchise for cable television service sets forth provisions for a minimum number of viewing channels, plus additional terms and conditions; and WHEREAS, the Resolution Granting a Franchise is available in the Office of the County Commissioners for review; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Mason County Commissioners that a call for Public Hearing is issued and is scheduled for August 9, 19884 at the hour of 10:30 a.m. for the purpose of the citizens of Mason County to appear before the Board to express their interest in, or objections to, the granting of a franchise to CableVision. The Public Hearing will be held in the Commissioners' Chambers in the Mason County Courthouse Annex II. ADOPTED this 26th day of July , 1988.
