Fairgrounds Rental FeesRESOLUTION NO. 33 -88 FAIRGROUNDS RENTAL FEES WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 52-86 on June 3,1986 to establish rental fees at the Mason County Fairgrounds; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the resolution to raise fee structures for overnight camping; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners recognize the benefits Mason County derives from increased tourism and an enriched cultural environment as a result of certain festivals and other uses of the. Fairground facilities; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners held a public hearing on April 19 1988 for consideration of amending the resolution to effect these said changes; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County Commissioners amends Resolution No. 52-86 and establishes the Mason County Fairgrounds Rental Fee Schedule as outlined below: FACILITIES PRICES P DAY Building 3 - Outdoor Stage Building * 9 - Exhibition Building Building # 13 - Small Hall Building # 14 - Exhibition Building Building # 15 - Livestock Barn Building # 16 - Exhibition Building Building # 17 - Olympic Hall Booths Around Outside of Olympic Hall - each booth Building # 20 - Exhibition Building Building # 22 - Exhibition Building Building # 23 - Poultry Barn OR 10% of renters gross receipts received, whichever is greater. Camping Fees with water & electricity Camping Fees without water & electricity Group Camping rates: Group leader to collect and make one payment 25 - 50 units 5% discount 50 - 100 units 10% discount 100+ units 10% discount with 10% discount on any building $10.00 20.00 50.00 30.00 20.00 30.00 120.00 5.00 25.00 40.00 20.00 5.00 4.00 Entire Fairgrounds within the Fence 350.00 OR 10% of renter's fees received from concessionaires and gate receipts, whichever is greater. PLUS electricity from the time the renter starts setting up until the day after the event ends. The renter is responsible for cleaning all grounds including parking lot and the bathrooms during and after the event. The renter has two days after the event is over to clean the buildings, grounds, and parking lot and make any repairs needed. The renter will be charged for any cleanup done by Convention Center staff after the renter has had ample time allowed according to manager's discretion. This will include a caretaker to assist and handle problems, RESOLUTION 33 -88 Page 1 ARENA GRANDSTAND AREA FEES (West End of Fairgrounds ) For all events except motor cycle and motorized vehicle events OR 10% of all gross receipts whichever is greater. Motorcycle & Motorized Vehicle Events Entrants - Each Spectators - Each 200.00 This fee schedule may be modified according to class of user as follows: 1.00 1.00 CLASS I: GOVERNMENTAL Special rates may be negotiated with governmental users when a public benefit can be demonstrated. Negotiated rates can be free use to a percentage of full rates depending on event objectives and users ability to pay. Each such use will be documented with a special agreement. CLASS II: NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT SPONSOR LARGE EVENTS PROMOTING TOURISM IN MASON COUNTY AND/OR BENEFITTING OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WHO ARE FILLING PUBLIC AND SOCIAL WELFARE NEEDS WITHIN MASON COUNTY. These users will pay full, flat rates as outlined: However they will be exempt from the percentage (%) provision which results in fees greater than flat rates. Improvement of the facilities which helps to fulfill long range objectives as developed by the Convention Center Advisory Board and approved by the Mason County Board of Commissioners, may be accomplished in lieu of payment of fees; subject to the approval of the Mason County Director of General Services. These users may also be exempt from paying fees in advance in recognition of the cash flow problems attendant to festival management. Cleanup and damage deposit will be paid in advance. CLASS III: NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT SPONSOR SMALLER EVENTS WHICH ENRICH THE CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT AND WHO ARE FILLING PUBLIC AND SOCIAL WELFARE NEEDS WITHIN MASON COUNTY. Co-operative agreements may be negotiated which recognize the cultural benefits accruing to the public from the events provided. Improvement of the facilities which helps to fulfill long range objectives as developed by the Convention Center Advisory Board and approved by the Mason County Board of Commissioners, may be accomplished in lieu of payment of fees; subject to the approval of the Mason County Director of General Services. CLASS IV: OTHER USERS - WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE ENTIRE RENTAL FEE SCHEDULE. ADOPTED this 19th day of April, 1988.
