Naming Building 10 "Gary Paul Burleson Law and Justice Building" RESOLUTION NO. - U 0 A Resolution Placing an Honorary Facility Sign on Mason County Building 10 "Gary Paul Burleson Law and Justice Building" WHEREAS, the Mason County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2022-034 on May 10, 2022 establishing a Mason County Facility/Park Naming Policy; WHEREAS, recognition with an honorary facility naming is reserved for those individuals who have performed an exemplary act or achievement of lasting interest to their community, which reflects positively on Mason County; WHEREAS, Mason County received a request to name Building 10 after Gary Burleson; WHEREAS, Gary Burleson worked in the Mason County Prosecutor's office for 37 years with 28 of those years serving as the elected Mason County Prosecutor. In addition to his employment commitment Gary also served many years volunteering his time and service to the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Mason County Commission to place an honorary sign at Mason County Building 10, 414 W Franklin Street, Shelton, WA with the name "Gary Paul Burleson Law and Justice Building" and direct staff to create and install the appropriate sign.
