February 3, 2000
The Mason County Board of Health was called to order February 3, 2000 at 10:08 a.m. by
chairperson John Bolender with Board Member Mary Jo Cady present and Board
Member Cynthia Olsen absent.

Mary Jo Cady moved to approve the January 6, 2000
as presented. John Bolender seconded.
Dr. Mark Trucksess stated several corrections needed to be
made. (Changes will be made by transcriptionist.)
Mary Jo Cady moved to approve the changes as
corrected. John Bolender approved.
None.
The Health Officer's Report was given by Dr. Mark Trucksess.
Communicable Diseases: One case of campylobacter in January.
Annual Report on sexual transmitted diseases in Mason County for 1999:
81 cases chlamydia
9 cases gonorrhea

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ISSUES:
Stephanie Kenny sent a letter asking for the removal of several members from the Food Advisory
Committee because of lack of attendance, which was presented by Debbie Riley, Environmental
Health Director. They are Don Betker, Don Mack, and Geri Purvis. The following members
asked to be removed due to other commitments: Ruffus Garoutte and Dave Freddersen. It was
recommended by Mary Jo Cady that no one be removed until the two positions are filled. John
Bolender stated, that in order to follow procedures for a by-laws issue, the Chair of the committee
needs to contact them and ask if they intend to fulfill the requirements or resign,.
PERSONAL HEALTH ISSUES: None.
WAIVERS: Presented to Commissioner's.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None
The meeting was adjourned at 11:32 a.m. by Chairperson, John Bolender.
