RE: BIOTOXIN CLOSURE AT PICKERING AND PEALE PASSAGE
Pickering and Peale Passage are closed to recreational harvest of all species of shellfish
due to shellfish samples testing positive for high levels of Diarrhetic Shellfish Poison
(DSP) on December 15, 2023. At this time, we have no reported illnesses regarding this
situation. Further investigation is ongoing.
