37-90
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENTS OF GENERAL SERVICES AND
PUBLIC WORKS SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 12-87 AND RESOLUTION NO. 101-
82
WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners restructured the administration
and make up of the Department of General Administration through Resolution No. 12-87 and
Resolution No. 101-82; and
WHEREAS, the functions of Department of General Services have grown in size and
complexity through County growth and increased state and federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, due to the increase in size and complexity it has become necessary to
reorganize and redistribute the functions and services performed by the Department of
General Services; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Consolidated Sewer and Water and Landfill offer services
related to the Department of Public Works the same should be incorporated into the
Department of Public Works; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Divisions of Consolidated Sewer and
Water and Landfill are transferred to the Department of Public Works; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the equipment, supplies and personnel of the
Divisions of Consolidated Sewer & Water and landfill are hereby transferred to the
Department of Public Works; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the restructuring of Consolidated Sewer and Water
and Landfill, by this resolution, shall have no effect on union or bargaining union
representation of the employees of said departments; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the provision of this resolution shall take effect
on , 1990.
