RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO GRANT FRANCHISE AND NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS, Mason County Board of Commissioners intends to grant an addition to
franchise Resolution No. 53-88 for the purpose of providing cable television
service to specific areas of Mason County; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners have received an application to provide cable
television service by Hood Canal Cablevision, Post Office Box 249, Union, WA
98592-0249; and
WHEREAS, Hood Canal Cablevision has proposed to expand cable television
service to the following areas:
Section 36, Township 21 North, Range 3 W.W.N.
Sections 1, 2, 10-15, 21-24, Township 20 North, Range 3 W.W.M.
Sections 21-22, 25-36, Township 21 North, Range 2 W.W.M.
Sections 1-21, 23-25, 36, Township 20 North, Range 2 W.W.M.
Section 19, Township 21 North, Range 1 W.W.M.
Sections 8, 19, 30, 31, Township 20 North, Range 1 W.W.M., all in Mason
County, Washington.
WHEREAS, the franchise for cable television service sets forth provisions for
a minimum number of viewing channels, plus additional terms and conditions; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution Granting a Franchise is available in the Office of
the County Commissioners for review;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Mason County Commissioners
that a call for Public Hearing is issued and is scheduled for March 13, 1990 at
the hour of 10:15 a.m. for the purpose of the citizens of Mason County to appear
before the Board to express their interest in, or objections to, the granting of a
franchise to Hood Canal Cablevision. The Public Hearing will be held in the
Commissioners' Chambers in the Mason County Courthouse Building I, 411 North
Fifth, Shelton.
ADOPTED this 20th day of February, 1990.
