AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MASON COUNTY CODE TITLE 14 BUILDINGS &
CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners did on September 17, 1984,
amend said Code by Ordinance No. 91-84; and
WHEREAS,the Board of Mason County Commissioners did on April 22, 1986 amend said
Code by Ordinance No. 43-86; and
WHEREAS, it has now become apparent that a revision in the Code as adopted is
required; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Legislature passed ESHB 2198 which amends and
supersedes the 1986 Washington State Energy Code; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners has a commitment to energy
efficient housing; and
WHEREAS,the Board of Mason County Commissioners held a public hearing on October
15, 1991 at 8:00 p.m. in the Mason County Courthouse, Building 1, 411 North Fifth Street,
Shelton, Washington for the purpose of considering amending the Code'relating to the
Washington State Energy Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED: that Ordinance No. 43-86, Section
G which now reads:
"The 1986 Edition of the Washington Energy Code shall be in effect."
IS HEREBY AMENDED as follows:
"The July 1, 1991 Edition of the Washington State Energy Code First Addition and the
Washington State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code First Addition shall be in effect."
