Regulating Development in Flood Hazard Areas RESOLUTION NO. __55=91 WHEREAS, Mason County Government provides essential and mandated services to preserve and benefit the health, safety, and welfare of those we serve; and WHEREAS, Mason County employees and volunteers are the foundation upon which these services are provided; and WHEREAS, Mason County elected officials, department heads and many employees participated in a team building seminar; and WHEREAS, those who participated in the team building seminar diligently worked together to write the attached Mission Statement and Goals; and WHEREAS,the Board of Mason County Commissioners'wishes to have a clearly defined Mission Statement and Goal. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Mason County Commissioners'do hereby adopt the Attachments A and B as Mason County's Mission Statement and Goals, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, the Mason County Mission Statement and Goals be prominently displayed in all Mason County Government Buildings. TO HAVE MANAGERS AND EMPLOYEES WHO ARE COURTEOUS, EFFECTIVE, AND EFFICIENT, WHOSE MORALE IS HIGH BECAUSE THEY RECOGNIZE THEIR WORK IS VALUED AND THEY ARE PART OF THE PLANNING PROCESS. B. TO INCREASE CONFIDENCE AMONG THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY PROVIDING EFFICIENT COORDINATED COST-EFFECTIVE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES' TO THE PEOPLE OF MASON COUNTY. C. TO INSTITUTE A MANAGEMENT PLANNING PROCESS IN MASON COUNTY. THE PROCESS SHOULD INCLUDE EMPLOYEE ACCOUNTABILITY AND EVALUATION THROUGH CLEARLY( DEFINED DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVES. D. TO HAVE A WORK ENVIRONMENT WHERE ALL INDIVIDUALS CAN FEEL, THEY ARE A TRUSTED MEMBER OF THE ORGANIZATION AS WELL AS PROMOTING PUBLIC TRUST IN THE ABILITIES OF ALL LEVELS OF MASON COUNTY GOVERNMENT.
