RESOLUTION OF AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE PROPERTY
FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS the Department of Public Works requires additional land which
can be used as a gravel source, and
WHEREAS the property is generally described as follows: the North one
half of the Southwest one quarter, and the North 300 feet of the South one
quarter of the Southwest one quarter all in Section 4, Township 20 North,
Range 4 West, W.M. , and
WHEREAS the Department of Public Works has had an independent appraisal
to determine the fair market value of said land, and
WHEREAS the Department of Public Works has offered the owner of the
property, Simpson Timber Company, said market value of $1 ,600.00 per acre for
98. 18 acres of land, and
WHEREAS Simpson Timber Company has accepted this offer, and
WHEREAS the funds for purchase shall come from the Department of Public
Works (Budget line item number 543,30.61 . ) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is
authorized to act in behalf of the Board of County Commissioners and is
authorized to sign all necessary documents in the closing of the above
purchase.
