MORATORIUM
LARGE LOT SUBDIVISIONS
WHEREAS, The Board of Mason County Commissioners did on
January 17, 1991 declare a moratorium on a'A. I large lot
subdivisions, with justification for said moratorium delineated on
Resolution No. 6-91 ; and
WHEREAS, said moratorium was for a period of 45 days
commencing January 17 and ending March 2, 1991 ; and
WHEREAS, the situation warranting the enacting of this
moratorium still exists, and no permanent regulations will be
formally adopted and put into place prior to the expiration of the
moratorium on March 2, 1991 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Mason County
Commissioners hereby extend the moratorium on large lot
subdivisions delineated on Resolution No. 6-91 for a period of
thirty-one (31 ) days commencing March 3 , 1991 and ending April 2,
1991 at the end of said day, Provided this extension of the
moratorium shall be withdrawn if regulations are formally adapted

during the 31 day extension period ; Provided further that a
variance from this moratorium can be sought from the Director of
General Services or designee if a hardship results from this
moratorium; Provided further that anyone aggrieved by the decision
of the Director or designee in approving or disapproving any large
lot subdivision variance may appeal the decision to the Board of
County Commissioners within twenty (20) days following the issuance
of the decision . The Board , following a public meeting thereon ,
may affirm, conditionally, affirm, or reverse the Administrators
decision .
