JOINT TROOP SUPPORT RESOLUTION

SHELTON CITY COMMISSION MASON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, citizens of Mason County and the City of Shelton support the men and women
involved in Operation Desert Storm; and
WHEREAS, many Mason County and Shelton men and women are in the United States
Armed Forces and involved directly or indirectly in the success of Operation Desert Storm;
and
WHEREAS, these men and women are putting their own personal safety behind the cause
of freedom and democracy; and
WHEREAS, families of these service personnel have made and will continue to make many
sacrifices in support of their loved ones; and
WHEREAS, all citizens of Mason County and the City of Shelton have and will continue
to pray for the safe return of all involved in Operation Desert Storm;
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mason County Board of Commissioners
and the Shelton City Commission jointly honor and commend the men and women involved
in Operation Desert Storm for their effort in protecting the freedoms every American
enjoys; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the families of these honored men and women be
supported and offered comfort for their sacrifices during Operation Desert Storm.
