LANDFILL & TRANSFER STATIONS RATES
WHEREAS, it is necessary to raise the rates at the Mason County Landfill and Transfer Stations
to meet maintenance and operation costs and to provide required capital for post closure costs and the
costs associated with the transporting of solid waste to an out of county location; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners held a Public Hearing on December 8, 1992 and received public
input;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the below listed rates are adopted as Mason
County's Landfill and Transfer Station rates, effective April 30, 1993 excluding the rates established for
refrigerators and demolition waste. These items become effective December 15, 1992.
Resolution No, 66-92 and 2-91 are hereby canceled.
LANDFILL RATES
Household Hazardous Waste
(latex/oil base paint, pesticides) $5.00 Per vehicle with
up to 3 gallons of
waste.
$.50 Per half gallon for
that over 3 gallons.
The minimum charge is
$.50 for material over 3
gallons.
Compacted Yards - cubic yard $18.75
Loose Yards - cubic yard $11.75
Minimum to 30 Gallons - each $ 2.50
Appliances - each
(white goods, couches, chairs, T.V.'s mattresses) $ 9.50
Refrigerators - each $30.00
Tires (no rim) - each $ 2.50
Tires (with rim) - each $ 5.50
Batteries - each $ 1.00
Animals (small) - each* $ 5.00
Animals (large) - each* $10.00
55 Gallon Containers - each $ 4.60
Demolition Waste - cubic yard $16.00
Asbestos - cubic yard $25.00
TRANSFER STATIONS - BELFAIR/HOODSPORT/UNION RATES
Loose Yards - cubic yard $13.15
Minimum to 30 Gallons - each $ 3.10
Appliances - each
(white goods, couches, chairs, T.V.'s mattresses) $10.50
Refrigerators - each $30.00
Tires (no rim) - each $ 2.75
Tires (with rim) - each $ 5.75
Batteries - each $ 1.00
55 Gallon Containers - each $ 5.70
Asbestos - cubic yard $25.00
