Alder Street Shelton, WA 98584 Attached is permit application for Temporary Outdoor Public Event, OysterFest. This is the 42nd edition of OysterFest. Skookum Rotary has operated OysterFest at the Mason County Fairgrounds from 1982 through about 2015. The last several events have been on an abandoned runway, Port of Shelton , 250 W. Sanderson Way, Shelton. We start with bare, flat pavement with no services. There are no structures within 250 ft of the event. Temporary water, electricity, fencing and tent structures are set up. The following items are to clarify some points on the application. --The event is open to the public runs Friday October 6, 5pm through Sunday October 8, 6pm. Skookum Rotary operates OysterFest and begins preparation and set up Monday October 3. Clean up and dismantling is usually finished by middle of the next week. --Port of Shelton has approved the event and once again, we have a Rental Agreement with the Port. --Electricity Source is temporary connection to PUD #3 system. We do utilize small generators to power security lights during the off hours. --The event includes appropriate approvals from Washington State Patrol, Washington DOT, Transportation Co-op and local law enforcement. --An added event this year will be a Wine Dinner, Friday evening. This will compliment the OysterFunk which has been held Friday evening for several years. These events as well as the Beer Garden and Wine Pavilion on Saturday and Sundary are for those 21 and over. No minors allowed . All Liquor permits will be in place. --We will be publicizing for "local patrons" to travel to the event via Shelton/Matlock rd and then Hwy 102 to the Port of Shelton. This should reduce the traffic congestion on Hwy 101 . --Mason County sheriff, private security personnel and fire/medic personnel will be present. Special emergency gate near the SE corner will facilitate handling issues involving public safety, fire and medical needs. OysterFest staff will carry 2-way radios for instant communication. Please feel welcome to contact me with any questions or concerns. Jerry Obendorf, Administration Chair, OysterFest9,e/VO614f SAFETY MESSAGE/PLAN (ICS 208) 1. Incident Name: 2.
