MASON COUNTY, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 56-92
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE MASON COUNTY
SOLIDWASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Mason County Solid Waste Management
Plan is to provide decision makers in Mason County with the
guidelines needed to implement, monitor and evaluate future solid
waste activities, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Washington State Solid Waste Management- -
Reduction and Recycling Act (RCW 70.95) , Mason County and the City
of Shelton are required to prepare a Solid Waste Management Plan,
and
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Advisory Committee has overseen the
preparation of the Plan and recommended it be adopted by the local
jurisdictions, and
WHEREAS, Mason County has held public hearings and took testimony
on December 4, 1990 and December 6, 1990, in Shelton and Belfair,
respectively, and
WHEREAS, Mason County is meeting it's requirements for
environmental review under the State Environmental Policy Act by
adopting the King County Programmatic Final Environmental Impact
Statement, and existing EIS, as authorized by WAC 197-11-600 and
WAC 197-11630, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mason County Board of
Commissioners that it hereby adopts the Mason County Solid Waste
Ma
nagement Plan referenced here as Attachment "A. ®a
