A RESOLUTICN ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE ADMINISTRATION
AND OFERATION OF JUVENILE DIVERSION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Washington State HB 1535 authorized County
Legislative authorities to establish fees to cover the costs of
administration and operation of juvenile diversion services ;
WHEREAS, fees for services are necessary because County
property taxes and other revenue cannot keep up with the rising
cost of the administration and operation of Criminal Justice
Programs ;
WHEREAS, a p!'.'olic hearing was held on September 28 , 1993 , to
take testimor for and against the establishment of juvenile
diversion services fees ;
NOW THEREFORE , THE BOARD OF MASON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DO
HEREBY approve the establishment of a $25 . 00 fee effective
November 1 , 1993 , to cover the costs of administration and
operation of juvenile diversion services . This fee will be paid
by the parents of juveniles receiving diversion services .
