AN ORDINANCE amending the Mason County Code 2.4O relating 1oDistrict Court.
WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Connnn|eo|oneno held a public hearing on Gepternber22.
1QQ3 and considered public input;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE |T ORDAINED THAT:
§ 2.40.020 - 2.40.050 of the Mason County Code are amended to read as follows:
2'40'020 District Court Judge.
There shall be one full time District Court Judge to serve the entire district court for Mason County
who shall be elected as provided by state law.
2'40'030 CemXmmU office, courtroom and records--Where held.
The central office, courtroom and records of the district court for Mason County shall be held at the
Mason County courthouse oonnp|ox in such space as may be provided by the board of county
commissioners.
2'40'040 Hearings--Place held.
The district court shall conduct hearings in any other areas in the county as shall be designated by
the District Court Judges ao the volume of business may dictate. The designated place for all such hearings
uheU be established by the District Court Judge of the court.
2-40'050 District Court, Court Commissioners -
District Court Judge pmmtemnpoms
The District Court Judge shall have the authority to appoint District Court court commissioners and
Judge pnotarnporg.
§ 2.4O.OGO - 2.4O.O80of the Mason County Code are hereby repealed.
