I NEED TO SPEAK TO HUGO FLORES, HE DID A PRE-SITE INSPECTION ABOUT A YEAR AGO. HIS DESCRIPTION OF THE SITE DOES MATCH WHAT I OBSERVED ON SITE DURING THE INSPECTION. HE DESRIBES A CUT IN THE SLOPE WHERE THE HOUSE WAS TO GO AND A SLOPE OF 305k TO 35%. THIS IS WHAT I ALSO OBSERVED BUT IT DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THE 80 DEGREE TO 90 DEGREE 90 FT. HIGH SLOPE AT THE END OF THE 30% SECTION. I SPOKE WITH GRACE MILLER AND SHE SAID THAT HUGO WOULD NOT BE BACK IN UNTIL FRIDAY. I SPOKE TO HUGO FLORES ON 12/22/97, HE STATED THAT HE NEEDED TO DO AN RLC ON THE PROPERTY, AS PART OF THIS HE WOULD REQUIRE A 50 FT. SET BACK TO THE TOP OF THE 90 FT. VERTICL SLOPE. THE UBC HAS A MORE RESTRICTIVE REQUIREMENT OF 120 FT. THIS IS BASED ON THE SET BACK REQUIREMENT, SET BY THE UBC, THAT ALL SET BACKS ARE TAKEN FROM A 45 DEGREE FROM THE BASE OF THE SLOPE. AT THE POINT WHERE THE 45 DEGREE INTERSECTS THE TOP OF THE SLOPE A H/3 SET BACK OF 30 FT. IS REQUIRED FOR A TOTOL SET BACK FROM THE FACE OF 120 FT. THE HEIGHT OF THE SLOPE WAS PROVIDED BY MR. HODGE. ALL DRAINAGE FROM IMPERVIOUS SURFACES MUST BE MAINTAINED OFF THE SLOPE. ALL VEGETAION MUST BE MAINTAIN ON THE SLOPE. NO EXCAVATED MATERIAL OR ORGANIC MATERIAL IS TO BE CAST OVER THE SLOPE.
