In order to determine if a site is suitable a minimum of three test pits were dug and evaluated for suitability. The site was evaluated to determine that the slope and size were suitable and to determine if the proposed on-site wastewater would be able to meet county and Washington State WAC 246-272A regulations. Proposal: The client is proposing a 3-bedroom residence on the site to be served by an on-site septic system. For a 4-bedroom system the estimated wastewater produced is 360 gallons per day based on the calculation of each bedroom producing 120 gallons per day. Site Description: The site is currently vacant land. The site is in Section 21 Township 20 North of Range 03 West. Hydrology: The site appears to be well drained. There did not appear to be any areas of ponding at the site or in the area of the proposed drainfield. Water Source: The water source will be a proposed community water connection. The water line will be located 10 feet away from the proposed On-Site Wastewater system or the transport line will be sleeved to meet the requirements of WAC 246-272A. Soil Description: According to the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)the property soil is mapped as Alderwood Gravelly Sandy Loam. The test pit profile did not appear to be consistent Nith the Alderwood Gravelly Sandy Loam series. l Job Number:2023-020 Client Name: Wood The NRCS describes the Alderwood Gravelly Sandy Loam as very dark brown gravelly sandy loam about 6 inches thick. The subsoil is dark brown gravelly sandy loam for the upper 9 inches and is dark brown very gravelly sandy loam for the lower 15 inches. The following layer is a cemented hardpan at a depth of about 30 inches. The hardpan is strongly compacted and crushes to very gravelly loamy sand. The depth of the hardpan ranged from 20 to 40 inches. Test Pit Descri tp ion: In order to complete a site and soil evaluation according to WAC 246-272A a minimum of three test pits need to be evaluated. For this site a total of 3 test o its evaluatedand labelbeloed in the field for the locations of the On-Site Wastewater System.Thepits are as described Test Pit#1 0-25" Brown loamy medium sand, moderate subangular blocky structure 25-42" Gray coarse sand, cemented, common distinct medium mottles Restrictive at 25"due to seasonal high water APPROVED Test Pit#2 0-22" Brown loamy medium sand, moderate subangular blocky structure AUG 1 1 2023 22-44" Cemented, common distinct medium mottles Restrictive at 22"due to seasonal high water MASON COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTF Test Pit#3 DJA 0-17" Brown loamy medium sand, moderate subangular blocky structure 17-34" Gray coarse sand, cemented, common distinct medium mottles Restrictive at 17"due to seasonal high water Test Pit#4 0-38" Brown loamy medium sand, moderate subangular blocky structure 38-45" Gray coarse sand, cemented, common distinct medium mottles Not restrictive Soil Loading Rate: The type of soil appears to be Type 3 with a soil loading rate of 0.8 according to WAC 246-272A. System Requirements: The site appears to be suitable for pressure bed system in the proposed drainfield location. The system requirements are concluded based on the suitability of the soil, the slope of the site and the site conditions. Conclusion: The site described as 380 E Wood Lane in Shelton appears to have a slope of about 0-5%in the proposed drainfield area. The site has a suitable soil depth of 42" in the proposed drainfield location and is suitable for a pressure system to serve the proposed residence. :111 Report Completed by: ;•• ^ply . . 11 Eakey Racier Becky Rieger ( '`'/ h 51 189 '.11 Licensed Designer Becky J.Rieger L.,• 1 / V Job Number:2023-020 Client Name: Wood , -o 0 0 u) 73 m0 HP m A m m mm m y O A x u0 ,3 O Om '' 0 x0 0 Ap AUG 1 12013 13 A p o oN Op m mn ,3 No >'i MA 0 0 0w v D •rnmU a N 3 Nif • NU E/YORp co 0o N ` ; MENT O m A m m A AC NEACTN m n0 n0 m m e - n. co O O- dIM r\\\ \ a®N o II C \ \ O 1' \\ . .• . )./ . • . . . • . • • : •. • •..• , .iv X - A. .... \ \ o®- \ M c \ o 0 \\\y\\\ m m -- -aNn aan doaa I A g c m o =I-,moccon ,`' < p .. 0 0 0 N= n d6 ti O. m ;V O C 3 OQ' Z i I.
