ESTABLISHING THE RESTRICTED USE OF
UNMUFFLED COMPRESSION BRAKES
WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of February , 1993 , The Board of Mason
County Commissioners set a date and time to hear the requests for restriction
of UNMUFFLED COMPRESSION BRAKES on:

WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners has reviewed said
petitions and received public input regarding same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Mason County
Commissioners has determined that, in the best interest of the public health and
general welfare of the citizens of Mason County, that the areas petitioned shall
be restricted from use of unmuffled compression brakes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that when such restrictions occur
on a County Road, the County Engineer is directed to fabricate and install the
necessary signs and keep appropriate records of such actions. When such
restriction occurs on a State Highway, the County Engineer is directed to notify
the appropriate Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation and
assist the State in their expedient installation of the necessary signs.
