Amendment of Res. 79-90 Mileage Reimbursement RESOLUTION NO. 18-93 MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT WHEREAS, RCW 42.24.090 states " . . . the legislative body of any municipal corporation or political subdivision of the state may prescribe by ordinance or resolution the amounts to be paid to officers or employees thereof as reimbursement for the use of their personal automobiles or other transportation equipment in connection with officially assigned duties and other travel for publicly approved purposes." WHEREAS, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) allows taxpayers to use a standard mileage rate of twenty-eight (28) cents per mile for all business miles driven. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mason County Board of Commissioners that Resolution No. 79-90, adopted on October 7, 1990, be amended as follows: Reimbursement rate of mileage to be at 28 cents a mile.
