A RESOLUTION SUBMITTING A BALLOT PROPOSITION TO THE
MASON COUNTY AUDITOR FOR CREATION OF A CLEAN WATER
DISTRICT IN THE CASE INLET/NORTH BAY AREA.
WHEREAS, Chapter 90.72 RCW authorizes the legislative authority of each county
having shellfish tidelands within its boundaries to establish a shellfish protection district
(Clean Water District) to include areas in which nonpoint pollution threatens the water
quality upon which the continuation or restoration of shellfish farming or harvesting is
dependent;
WHEREAS, the Board would like to present the proposal to the voters in the Case
Inlet/North Bay area as outlined in Attachment A and described on Attachment B for their
decision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board that an election be called
and be held on the next available date (February 7, 1995) for a proposition. The
proposition shall ask:
Shall a Clean Water District be created under Chapter 90.72 RCW in the Case
Inlet/North Bay area and charge an assessment of $55.00 per year per on-site sewage
system for three years (total of $165) to the owner(s) of each sewage system? Said
assessment shall be for the purpose of implementing an on-site sewage system
inspection and repair assurance program to protect and enhance water quality within the
Case Inlet Watershed.

West Willamet Meridian,
R1, T22 Sections: 4, 8 & 9, 16 & 17, including the southeast 1/4, and the southeast 1/4
of the north east 1/4, and the south east 1/4 of the south west 1/4 of section 18,
and sections 19 through 21, and 28 through 33;
R1, T21 All section;
R1, UO All sections;
R2, T22 Those properties lying south east of a line drawn along Trails End Lake
Dr. from the southern boundary to the northern boundary of section 23,
and sections: 24 through 27 except the north west 1/4 of section 27, the
soubtern 1/2 of 31 and 32, and 33 through 36;
R2, T21 Sections: 1 through 8, the west 1/2 of 9, the south east 1/4 of 10, 11 through
